demanding industrial pipelines.
DELCO DK55-1PF Electric High Temperature Flange Ball Valve, Anti-Deformation for Oil Gas Chemical Metallurgy High Temp Pipeline
The Electric High Temperature Flange Ball Valve is an automated quarter-turn valve designed for industrial pipelines where reliable flow isolation and elevated-temperature service are required. It combines a robust flanged ball valve body with an electric actuator to provide remote and automated control of pipeline media.
The valve uses a rotating ball to open or close the flow passage. When the electric actuator receives an operating signal, its motor and transmission mechanism generate the required torque to rotate the valve stem and ball through approximately 90°. This allows the pipeline to be opened, closed, or controlled according to the selected actuator configuration.
Key Features
✅️Designed for High-Temperature Service
The valve can be equipped with high-temperature-resistant seats, packing and internal components according to the operating temperature and medium. Metal-seated configurations can be used where conventional soft-seat materials are not suitable.
✅️Automated Electric Operation
The electric actuator provides remote and automated valve operation, reducing the need for manual intervention. Depending on the actuator selected, the valve can support On/Off control or modulating control.
✅️Robust Flanged Connection
The flanged-end design provides a rigid and serviceable connection for industrial piping systems and allows convenient installation and removal during maintenance.
✅️Low-Resistance Ball Valve Flow Path
The ball valve structure provides a relatively direct flow passage when fully open, helping reduce unnecessary flow resistance and making it suitable for applications requiring efficient fluid transfer.
✅️Flexible Material Configuration
Body, ball, seat, stem, packing and other wetted components can be selected according to temperature, pressure, corrosion and medium characteristics.
✅️Suitable for Harsh Industrial Conditions
The valve can be configured for high-temperature oil, gas, steam, chemical fluids and other demanding industrial media. Material and sealing selection should be based on the actual process conditions.
✅️Multiple Actuator Options
Different electric actuator configurations can be selected according to required torque, operating speed, control mode, power supply, protection rating and installation environment.
Primary Applications
- Oil & Gas: Used for automated isolation and flow control of oil, natural gas and other hydrocarbon process lines where elevated temperatures may be present.
- Chemical Processing: Suitable for chemical process pipelines handling hot fluids, process oils, solvents and other application-specific chemical media.
- Metallurgy: Applicable to high-temperature industrial pipelines and process systems associated with steel production, metal processing and thermal equipment.
- Power Generation: Used for automated flow isolation in thermal systems, auxiliary pipelines, steam-related systems and other industrial process applications.
- Thermal Oil Systems: Suitable for pipelines carrying thermal oil and other heat-transfer fluids when the selected valve materials and seals are compatible with the operating temperature.
- Steam & Hot Fluid Systems: High-temperature configurations can be considered for steam, hot water and other elevated-temperature media, subject to pressure-temperature rating and sealing selection.
- Industrial Process Automation: The electric actuator allows the valve to be integrated into automated pipeline control systems for remote operation, centralized control and process monitoring.
Operating Conditions
The Electric High Temperature Flange Ball Valve should be selected according to the actual combination of medium, temperature, pressure, flow characteristics, operating frequency and environmental conditions.
1. Medium
Applicable media may include:
- Oil and petroleum products
- Natural gas and industrial gases
- Steam
- Hot water
- Thermal oil
- Chemical process fluids
- Heat-transfer fluids
- Other compatible industrial media
The valve material and sealing system should be selected according to the chemical composition, concentration and operating conditions of the medium.
2. Temperature
High-temperature performance depends primarily on the valve seat, packing, body material and internal components.
For example:
-
Standard soft-seat configuration: suitable for relatively lower-temperature service
-
High-temperature seat configuration: suitable for elevated-temperature applications
-
Metal-seat configuration: suitable for demanding high-temperature and/or abrasive applications
-
Special high-temperature configuration: available for selected applications requiring temperatures beyond standard configurations
A typical high-temperature configuration may be designed for approximately -29°C to +350°C, while specially engineered configurations may support higher temperatures. The final allowable temperature must be confirmed according to the valve pressure-temperature rating and selected materials.
3. Pressure
The applicable pressure rating depends on valve size, body material, pressure class, temperature and end connection.
Typical configurations may include:
- PN16 / PN25 / PN40
- ASME Class 150 / Class 300
Higher pressure classes can be considered for specific project requirements.
4. Operating Frequency
For frequent cycling applications, actuator duty cycle, motor temperature rise, valve torque variation and operating time should be evaluated together. The actuator should be properly sized for the valve's maximum operating torque under actual process conditions.
5. Ambient Environment
The electric actuator should be selected according to the installation environment, including:
- Indoor or outdoor installation
- Ambient temperature
- Humidity
- Dust exposure
- Rain or water exposure
- Corrosive atmosphere
- Hazardous-area requirements
Explosion-proof actuator configurations can be selected when the installation area requires certified electrical protection.
6. Installation
The valve is normally installed between matching flanges with the correct gasket and bolting system. The pipeline should be properly aligned to prevent excessive mechanical stress on the valve body.
For high-temperature service, sufficient clearance should be provided around the valve and actuator for heat dissipation, inspection and maintenance.
Selection of Electric Actuators

Our electric valves can be equipped with different actuator configurations to match specific valve types and operating conditions. Quarter-turn electric actuators are suitable for ball valves and butterfly valves, while multi-turn electric actuators are designed for gate valves, globe valves and other multi-turn applications.
Depending on project requirements, options include standard, mini, explosion-proof, waterproof IP68 and modulating electric actuators. Actuators can also be configured with different power supplies, control modes, position feedback and manual override functions.
The actuator is selected based on the valve's required torque or thrust, operating speed, duty cycle, control requirements, installation environment and protection level, ensuring a suitable valve automation solution for each application.
